Question by sns: Can a first generation ipod touch have the same apps as the second generation?
I want to get apps on my first generation iPod Touch, but I can only buy on iTunes and all the apps I want or are there special ones for the first generation of iPod Touches? Thanks:)

some, it depends on the app.
Some of the newer apps will not be compatible with the first generation, if they do, they might work a bit slower and the performance will not be as good as a second generation ipod touch

I think it mostly depends on what firmware you have. Most of the apps in the store require you to have 2.1 or higher, usually 3 to work correctly. Even then, if the app requires you to use a feature that the older Touch doesn’t have, it won’t work right.

you can check also from application, from itune
by right click apps, get info, you can see what
version of that apps
No some apps you need a different version and you can check this by going on iTunes and at the app store it shows the compatibility
All apps will work on all Touches and iPhones. Performance is the only major difference. Additionally, some 3D will look worse because of the newer capabilities of newer generations.
