I have an old nano, one of the first ones came out. I’m looking for the difference between 1 and 2 Generation of Apple iPod nanos look. I tried Google image to me a picture of the two, but they look the same? Even on apple.com they look the same? Is there a difference? If so, what is it?

they look the same, but the newer generation probably has more capacity, is more updated, and is overall better.

They’re practically the same in shape and size but have one major difference in design. The first generation is a front and back plate together, the back is the usual silver of most iPods. The second generation has rounded edges and the back is the same color as the rest of the iPod.

basically, the first gen nano has lower storage than the second gen, and 3rd gen has the more, but now there is a 4th.. and so is the shape of all the nanos, the first and second gen have a slight difference in the edges, and color….
But i’d recommend the 3rd or 4th gen ipod nano, you can watch videos AND play music with 8-16 gb of storage..
