I ordered this skin at the same time I ordered my Kindle 2, but it arrived a day later, so my K2 was unprotected for one very long day, which just made me appreciate it more when it arrived. I got it because I’ve been known to drop and break things and I wanted a little extra security/ a better grip on my K2 while I was holding it. This product delivered and looks really nice on, too. It is designed specifically for the Kindle 2, meaning there are holes in all the right places. My only complaint is that every fuzzy or piece of dust or stray hair in my home seems attracted to it, so if that will bug you, get a darker color to hide them. Knowing that, would I still buy it? Absolutely, and in this same color, too. I also got a hard-shell case for the K2 to protect it when I travel and this skin is slim enough that the K2 can have it on and still fit in the hard shell case.
Bottom line: totally worth it despite the fuzzies issue.

I had a clear one for a year now and got a green one just for the change of color. Fits the kindle 2 like a glove. Easily to take off and put back on. These are good for those who choose to read the kindle 2 without the book cover and it helps to have a better grip holding on to it which is the reason why I got this to begin with. The screen area and keyboard area are exposed. No problem pushing the next/previous button with this over it. You cannot use this cover inside your kindle book cover. I have the Belkin cover(very well padded,zips on 3 sides & on amazon site) that I keep my kindle 2 in with this silicone cover on and have plenty of room to slip it in and out. Will definitely buy another one when I get in the mood for a different color.

Like the previous reviewer, I received my silicone cover after getting my Kindle 2. It is a great soft green color and offers the Kindle protection from grime/finger prints and light bumps. I feel much safer with it than I did without! The Kindle’s back is a brushed metal which doesn’t offer any stability if you lean the Kindle on your lap, etc. The metal backing is also very cold to your fingers when holding it. With this great silicone cover, both of those negatives are replaced with positives. As for fuzzies, I can’t say that I have a big problem with them. Whenever they come along, which they do, I brush them off before they can accumulate. I figure I will use a lint roller if they do become a problem.

I love reading my Kindle in bed. The small size and light weight makes it very convenient. Unfortunately, it’s too small and slippery. Using this silicone case preserved the best parts of the machine while making it MUCH easier to hold.

If only the color had been like the photo on the Amazon site….the actual color is pretty hideous but otherwise the skin is very good.
